Open Meetings Act Requirements 

  • Proposed (draft/tentative) minutes must be available for public inspection within 8 business days after the meeting to which they refer.
  • Approved minutes must be available for public inspection within 5 business days after the meeting at which they are approved.

  • Agendas are not required under Michigan’s Open Meetings Act (OMA) for Township Board meetings (or most other public bodies).
