Bridgeton Township, established in 1852, is one of the oldest townships in the county. Our residential community has an abundance of rural land and natural waterways. The availability of land and access to employment and retail services in nearby Newaygo, Muskegon and Kent counties has driven a recent economic and population growth in Bridgeton. The township covers 36.1 square miles and, according to the 2020 Census, has a population of 2,141. A few commercial businesses service year-round residents, as well as summertime residents, tourists and outdoorsmen.
